Mission Statement St. Mary Catholic School in Centralia, IL was founded in 1867. We offer Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Eight education to members of St. Mary parish and the Community. In partnership with the parents and guardians, St. Mary Catholic School provides a Christian atmosphere that allows for the development of the whole child, striving to nurture acceptance, respect, self-discipline, and responsibility. Love and caring for others is fostered through the teaching of the Catholic Faith and the living of Christian values. Any person who volunteers at St.
Mary School must be in compliance with the Diocese of Belleville's
Child Protection Policy. This will include parents and relatives who
attend field trips, work lunch duty, or volunteer in a classroom.
